Business Development Manager

We are working in partnership with a super successful event leading company who, due to their continued growth and recent expansion, are looking for a new Business Development Manager. The role of the Business Development Manager is to maximise and grow the sales of the Group, by designing and delivering strategic sales action plans that are specifically designed to meet the targets of the business.

As part of your remit, you will cold call as appropriate within your market to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. You will meet potential clients by networking at events and leveraging new and existing relationships. Identifying the key decision makers, you will then set up meetings with the principles and turn this into increased business.

Some additional key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver to pre-determined targets as set by the business, maximising all opportunities to achieve these
  • Identify new revenue streams for the Group
  • Plan approaches and pitches.
  • Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Be creative, passionate and positive in their interaction with venue management, the wider Sales team, and related areas of the business
  • Maximise all social media channels to promote and sell the venues offering
  • Organise and execute Showcase events ensuring attendance of key customers such as Event Bookers and Corporate Clients
  • Develop a clear and measurable New Business plan to deliver sales growth across the group

By continually building and validating a New Business Database of contacts via, networking events, social media, appointments and new business drive, you will conduct meetings and provide the highest of standards for the customer experience. You will also keep the CRM system updated and compliant with required information and process.
