Your new company
I am working exclusively with Southampton City Council recruiting for their marketing and communications team. This public sector organisation is widely known for its service and delivery to the local public. To contribute to the delivery of an effective and integrated communications function, a senior internal communications officer is required to join the team.
Your new role
You will protect and enhance the organisations reputation and brand, ensuring the right information is provided to internal stakeholders at the right time. You will be required to utilise and improve communication channels, messages and mechanisms, using a full range of digital tools, in support of strategic priorities. To ensure staff are engaged and to maintain consistent messaging regarding the strategic direction, services and achievements of the organisation. To develop and deliver internal communication campaigns, ensuring activity is customer focused and return on investment is maximised.
What you'll need to succeed
You are experienced in delivering successful internal communication strategies and campaigns, which deliver practical outcomes and maximise return on investment. You have excellent skills in website content generation and in digital communication channels. You have experience of providing line management including the performance and development of direct reports. An excellent level of IT literacy & MS office.
What you'll get in return
You'll be offered a salary between £31,601 - £36, 379 depending upon your experience. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced, challenging environment and be part of a hardworking and ambitious team with like-minded individuals supporting you.
