This is an exciting and fantastic opportunity for an ambitious marketer graduate with the ability and confidence to manage a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project with British Salt, part of the Tata Group of companies.
The University of Manchester and British Salt are looking to recruit a KTP Associate to undertake this 30 month project which has an overall aim of creating and embedding a new sustainable B2C strategy within an established B2B organisation for fortified salt products. To embed integrated marketing capabilities and create a new brand and product innovation process that delivers customer focused products with a coherent brand.
The project will offer the rare opportunity to work on an exciting project that involves the introduction of a radical new approach to British Salt’s product development, as well as tackling the issue of how to raise awareness of a latent market need at a national level.
You will require a good degree in Business, Management, Marketing or related discipline or equivalent along with a Masters Degree, with evidence of a strong grounding in Marketing. n MBA is considered advantageous to ensure the graduate has sufficient breadth and depth of knowledge to match the complexity and ambition of the project. However candidates who can demonstrate that relevant work experience substitutes for a MBA may be considered.
This post is funded through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) award, a UK Government scheme intended to promote sustained and mutually beneficial relationships between universities and industry.
Based at British Salt & Tata Chemicals Europe’s Headquarters, you will work directly with supervisors from both the University and British Salt and will use the facilities and resources of both organisations.
