Our client, a leading e-learning specialist has a fantastic opportunity for a Learning Designer to join their Instructional Design team in Nottinghamshire.
The role of a Learning Designer offers the opportunity to combine excellent creative writing skills with innovative thinking to create engaging training scripts and storyboards for a variety of digital learning solutions.
You will play a key part in client meetings, gaining a clear understanding of their individual requirements with the aim to produce an effective solution to any and every training problem. This role provides a great opportunity to work with global corporate clients in the public and private sectors, travelling to their offices in the UK and Europe.
The successful candidate will be used to working within a business environment, have a strong academic background and will preferably have previous experience within the learning and development or training industry.
Creating engaging and effective training scripts for a variety of industry sectors.
Assisting the Design team with the storyboarding of ideas for animations, gaming and motion graphic projects.
Collaborating with specialists in design and instructional design to create exciting, original learning solutions.
Attending regular client meetings throughout the project lifecycle to extract the information needed to produce accurate content and effective learning solutions.
Liaising with clients to gain a greater understanding of their requirements and produce solutions underpinned by learning theory.
Working closely with subject matter experts to broaden your understanding of various training topics and produce informative and engaging learning project.
Strong creative and adaptable writing skills, with previous proven experience in a creative writing role. Experience in a learning and development environment would be beneficial but not essential.
Ability to conceive creative imagery and content.
A confident and outgoing personality, with the ability to lead meetings and work in creative teams.
Strong analytical skills in order to successfully interpret and understand a client’s requirement and relay this back to the wider project team.
Effective communication skills – both verbal and written – with an ability to disclose information
clearly and concisely.
The passion and desire to work within the Learning & Development sector.
