Senior Communicators Manager situated in Basingstoke. Temporary position that pays £19.00 per hour
Your new company
I am working with a public sector organisation based in Basingstoke. They provide a variety of services for both businesses and residents. Due to changes within the team, my client is seeking a Senior Communications Officer on a 2-3 month contract working 37 hours per week.
Your new role
As the Senior Communications Officer, your job will be to ensure you manage, deliver and co-ordinate an effective communication service, ensuring that customers are engaged and well informed with future plans & priorities, whilst making sure the organisation's reputation is maintained. You will do this by developing, implementing, managing and evaluating communications and marketing plans. You will need to ensure effective use of communications channels appropriate to specific target audiences, including media, marketing, public relations, publications, social media, the website and other electronic media.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience in taking enquires and communicating with the media whilst previous involvement in working in busy communications background is compulsory. Your organisational skills will need to be of high standard and you will have a proven background successfully delivering communications both internally and externally. Whilst the hiring manger has expressed a preference with having past experience within the public sector, management experience is not necessary.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a rate of £18.00 - £19.00 per hour, depending on experience. As a Senior Communications Officer on a 2-3 month contract, this will be a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast paced public sector organisation.
