This is a fantastic fixed term contract opportunity for an experienced Business Development & Marketing Manager to cover a period of maternity leave for a leading mid-tier law firm in London following an exciting period of growth and change.

Reporting directly to and working closely with the Business Development & Marketing Director, the Business Development & Marketing Manager will be responsible for implementing BD and Marketing strategy across Dispute Resolution, Employment and Costs. The role holder will directly manage a Senior BD Executive and will be tasked with building measurable BD and marketing plans using the support of the Senior BD Executive and leveraging central marketing, communications, events, knowledge, digital, data and CRM specialists. Key areas of activity will include budgeting and reporting on spend, leading on the creation of client presentations and pitches and maintaining key account processes. On the marketing side the successful applicant will produce content and collateral, organise events and sponsorships and manage directory entries.

You should have strong generalist BD and marketing experience working in a similar role in a legal or professional services environment and a good understanding of how to add value in the BD arena and demonstrate this value within an organisation. Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail are essential. Previous experience of disputes and litigation and of managing and developing team members will also be prerequisite.
