Events Manager - GLOBAL FIRM
This is an excellent opportunity to join the Events team of a global law firm as an Events Manager. The role will comprise advising on, planning and implementing a diverse range of events both in the UK and across Europe.
The role holder's key responsibilities will include creating, managing and delivering events which fulfil strategic business objectives for specific clients or practice areas. Working alongside fee-earners and business development colleagues you must deliver high impact events. You will project manage events, including setting event objectives, creating and managing budgets and measurement of ROI. This will involve managing all logistics for the event including venue sourcing, contract negotiation, event branding, speaker liaison, travel and catering. The Events Manager will also manage and develop the Event Co-ordinator, conducting appraisals and providing regular feedback sessions.
You should have a proven track record in project managing a varied portfolio of events projects, ideally gained in the professional services sector, to include experience of handling logistics for large scale and logistically complex meetings. A good working knowledge and experience in all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), as well as knowledge of InterAction would be an advantage, as would knowledge of London venues and relevant suppliers. The ability to form good working relationships at all levels (up to Senior Partner) and a strong team focus are essential.
