Marketing Communications Manager

Our Client is the UK’s leading arthritis charity offering information and support to everyone affected by arthritis. They provide a number of online and face to face services, helping people to live well with the condition. 

Position: Communications and Marketing Manager 
Location: Old Street, London 
Contract type: 12 Month fixed term contract (Maternity Cover) 
Hours: 35 hours per week 
Salary: £40,000

About the role: 

The Communications and Marketing Manager will provide leadership in all of their work across Arthritis Care. The purpose of the role is to develop the Arthritis Care brand, create audience focussed communications and deliver a marketing and communications strategy to underpin the charity’s organisational strategy. This will ensure that more people know of them and how they can help, giving them the opportunity to convert this into support. Stakeholder communications and internal communications will play an important part of the role over the next 12 months. 

About you: 

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and have proven experience of creating and delivering high level stakeholder engagement and management programmes. A good track record of media communications and issue management is also necessary, along with experience in the health sector. 

You’ll be able to demonstrate extensive experience of raising the profile and reach of an organisation through integrated campaigning and will have a high level of knowledge and experience of broadcast, radio, print and digital media. 

The post requires a high level of insight and analytical skills to identify audiences, develop strategy and turn them into practical and inspiring plans that will draw people into the charity. The successful candidate will be a strategist and decision maker and be able to present options to the senior leadership team.
