Product Development Director- Discretionary Management


Our client, a global Investment Management organisation is looking for a Product Development professional with experience in discretionary fund management from the Wealth Management space. You will help lead and support the definition of a new product set up, working closely with the head of business development.


  • Developing customer research and testing to drive the product development process
  • Develop pricing models and ensure that the new offering is commercially attractive and provides value for money for customers
  • Work with agile programme scrums acting as "product owner"
  • Providing direction to the delivery teams to deliver the MVP (minimum viable product) in the first market
  • Offer market intelligence, outlining what competitors offering are and how the organisation should seek to differentiate themselves
  • Deliver technical support around the product structures and service offerings especially around discretionary fund management and digital advice
  • Ensuring that supporting literature and collateral is defined and developed
  • Responsible for the product lifecycle, ensuring appropriate research, testing and future backlog are managed
  • Create an overall product roadmap for the offering. Phasing the roadmap to ensure there is speed to market in delivery.


Experience required:

  • Current/recent experience in a product development role (end to end) within the wealth management space
  • Detailed understanding of the wealth management industry and discretionary fund management
  • Experience in defining, contributing to and implementing a product vision and strategy
  • Experience in running agile programme methodologies
  • Proven track record of effective stakeholder management and influencing a variety of senior management.
