A leading and influential Hertfordshire based charity executing critical work on a daily basis, are looking for a passionate PR Manager to join their brilliant team on a full-time permanent basis. Having worked extensively with this organisation for their marketing, press/media and communications teams, we know what a rewarding environment and successful team you would be joining. 

What you’ll need:

  • A tenacity for great PR and exceptional communications, with at least 3-5 years experience within a PR/Press focused comms and media relations role  
  • Demonstrably strong communication skills both written and verbal – you’ll be regularly liaising with stakeholders so confidence and self-assurance is key  
  • A background creating engaging, informative and compelling copy across digital and printed channels  
  • Effective experience overseeing a 24/7 media and PR management service and highly skilled experience delivering crisis management communications
  • A proven track record for delivering expert news and press releases and a love for it!  
  • Expert knowledge of PR and media, with the ability to stay well versed in latest trends and successful results focused PR and comms activities 
  • Good knowledge of social media and online community management
  • Previous experience within a charity or membership organisation would be beneficial 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Executing high quality media, PR and external comms across channels to drive brand awareness and the charities vital objective  
  • Crisis/reputation management response ensuring timely reactions and appropriate responses
  • Effectively building and nurturing the charities online community
  • Regularly monitoring media and PR performance and driving data led decisions
  • Acting as the point of contact for media and PR enquiries and managing the company’s reputation
  • Liaising closely with internal and external stakeholders whilst also supporting the wider comms team  
  • Producing copy and speeches for team members to delivery and always ensuring copy is in tone and on brand  
  • Delivering content across websites, blogs, newsletters, social channels, press releases and more  

This is a fantastic opportunity to become a part of a talented and friendly team whilst working for a leading national charity. Due to the location of their office, this role is commutable from Letchworth, Welwyn Garden City, Stevenage, Hitchin, Hatfield, Hertford, St Albans, Harpenden, Luton, Hemel Hempstead and most parts of Hertfordshire.
