As Project Director, you will lead their more complex digital projects and integrated marketing programmes. Your role will be to shape and structure projects and broader programmes of work, facilitate alignment and clarity on project scope and schedule, and enable the communication, collaboration and clear thinking that are the necessary backdrop to excellence. The Project Director role is primarily an internal role but does include client responsibilities. As they are a full-service marketing agency, their projects are typically part of a broader strategic brand engagement, and their Account Handling teams take primary responsibility for client relationships, so you will need to build a strong collaborative partnership with Account Handling, taking ownership of project delivery. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, a high level of forward-thinking and proactivity; they’re looking for someone with high emotional intelligence who loves getting things done by building great relationships with your full team – creative, UX, tech, social, strategy, account handling and finance.

The work is diverse – there’s a heavy dose of digital strategy, experience strategy and digital design, though many of their clients have external-build partners. Work ranges from B2B portals to responsive consumer websites, mobile apps to microsites, digital strategy engagements to integrated brand launch campaigns. You will have the opportunity to work on some showcase digital projects, but will also be called on to apply your delivery-oriented skills to a wide range of projects and initiatives.

Essential Skills are proven experience as an senior project manager within an agency environment; healthcare agency experience is a must; people management/mentoring experience; demonstrable expertise in planning, coordination, management, and communication skills; a proven track record in the management of risk and project change; the ability to distil and translate complex information and communicate it to others simply and concisely; the ability to think on your feet and make sensible decisions to keep projects moving. You’ll also need advanced Excel skills
