Your new role
The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of integrated communications. You will lead the development of proactive external communications, managing immediate day-to-day media ensuring high quality publishing, editorial and digital products, while working closely with the external affairs team. You will work with the Assistant Director of External Affairs to build communications capacity, skills and infrastructure required by the organisation. You will also line manage four team leaders.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have extensive experience at a senior level in public sector communications including media relations, campaigns, stakeholder management and corporate communications. You will have highly developed political awareness and judgement, in-depth knowledge of the NHS. You will have excellent written and oral communications skills and a proven ability to develop strategic relationships and partnerships. You will have the ability to advise and influence internally at a senior level to help develop the emerging corporate strategies, policies and priorities
What you'll get in return
