This is a rare opportunity to lead a crucial function at one of the UK's leading textile manufacturers through exciting, transformational times. The Company has a distinguished heritage and an ambitious agenda for the future. This will be a challenging position that will include manufacturing and retail operations in the UK, India, China and Eastern Europe. Marketing the brand will be a key component to achieving the business's over-all strategic priorities.
We are looking for a talented leader who'll report to the Sales and Marketing Director and who'll be responsible for all aspects of the Company's marketing activities, including the development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive Marketing Strategy which supports the business vision and strategic goals.
You'll direct the daily activities of the Marketing Team within Marketing including brand management, publications, design, web, market research and advertising. You'll also co-ordinate the activities of other marketing professionals working across the business to ensure that all marketing activities support the promotion of the brand and reflect the business priorities.
You'll have significant experience of managing a marketing operation and developing and delivering a marketing strategy for an organisation that has a wealth of experience within its arena. Your track record will also demonstrate great success in leading, motivating and inspiring your team to create and deliver marketing campaigns and projects on deadline and to budget. You are someone who relishes the opportunity to effectively influence and build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders in order to win support and achieve your objectives.
Importantly, you'll understand the importance of brand and reputation, the evolving and complex needs of your markets, and ensure that the services you and your team deliver are exceptionally professional, effective, efficient and agile. You will have a strong track record of delivering a quality marketing operation in an organisation of scale and complexity. You will also be able to demonstrate a capacity to keep ahead of, and respond to, a rapidly changing sector. You may not have prior experience of working within the textile arena, but you will have a passion for what you do and the drive to be the best.
Skills and experience:
• Degree educated in a relevant marketing related discipline and a CIM qualification would be advantageous
• Experience B2B marketing
• Previous experience as Marketing Manager with a proven track record of success
• Strong written skills and proven experience of creating high level marketing content
