Account Director
You will be a member of a single client account team, their client is a major retailer re-launching their brand with a modern and inclusive look and feel. Their re-launch activity is focused in-store and the local community. The number of launch activity per week ranges from 5-25. This is a fast paced and rewarding account to work on.

Main requirements:

*Playing an important role within the account team, directly reporting to your designated Account Director
*Providing valuable line management support to the Account Managers
*Managing new briefs and creative proposals alongside other key team members
*Essential to the day-to-day management of in-house divisions, clients, suppliers, projects and teams
*Having a good understanding of clients' needs and objectives and ability to clearly relay that to others
*Directly supporting your Account Director, ensuring best practices are adopted and challenging efficient ways of working.

Your day-to-day role

*Managing client relationships, ensuring a consistent level of service is delivered by the wider team
*Line manager responsibility to the Account Manager(s) including personnel, appraisal and SMART objective management
*Working with the creative & production team members to ensure new proposals are grounded in clear strategy and objectives, whilst being logistically viable
*Acting as a positive mentor and role model to the broader team
*Updating the Account Director on project and team progress
*Ensuring training programs are developed and delivered for each team member
*Managing larger team projects and assigning small-medium projects to the wider team
*Leading efficient working relationships and practices with all divisions within the agency
*Upselling when an opportunity arises in conjunction with the other divisions
*Establishing and maintaining good supplier relationships
*Ensuring all financial management processes are adhered to in a timely manner
*Reviewing and analysing post-event/store opening reports demonstrating delivery against objectives
*Project planning and management of multiple projects utilising and implementing critical paths and project management documents to ensure smooth delivery to timelines
*Managing the account team and client to meet key deadlines in order to land delivery right first time, working in conjunction with the other SAM's within the team
*Developing the business with the existing client, picking up on new opportunities and contacts to gain new briefs
*Managing and leading team reports and meetings
*Making recommendations to improve efficiencies and streamline processes
*Weekend on call every 4-6 weeks

Skills and experience to succeed

*Proven track record in managing communication campaigns, marketing materials, integrated campaigns and experiential activity
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills (written and verbal)
*Exceptional organisational, work prioritisation and time management skills
*Attention to detail and ability to deliver client projects on-brand and brief within challenging timescales
*Experience of implementing and using project management principles and tools within an agency team environment
*Experience of managing an account team
*Acting as a role model to the junior members of the team
*Can-do attitude with a willingness to take on responsibility
*Excellent financial and budget management skills
*A real team player who's self motivated and able to work under pressure and at pace
*Ability to develop a strong working relationship with all divisions within the agency
*Excellent knowledge of the marketing, experiential and retail industries
*Experience in experiential/field marketing
*IT and Mac proficiency including excellent Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Keynote
