We are looking to recruit an exceptional Bid Manager to provide strategic bid management support and delivery across the commercial team of this innovative and expanding local government organisation. This role is key in shaping the future of Commercialisation for local government at a time of significant change nationally. Partnerships, shared services and outsourcing within government are a priority within the sector. Your commercial expertise will be instrumental to the organisations success

Bringing expertise in the field of commercially compliant proposals, bids and procurement, you will capture and develop new business opportunities for the Shared Service and Business Operations Centre. You will help develop the team from scratch, coaching and mentoring colleagues in commercial development. Managing the organisations bid pipeline, you'll lead in delivering compelling and responsive proposals from opportunity identification to completion.

The successful candidate will have
*An understanding of bid documentation and its formal structure
*Experience of completing Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ) and Invitation To Tender (ITT)
*experience of producing compelling, compliant and responsive proposals, on time and budget
*experience of pipeline management and development
*experience of supporting with implementing commercial best practice
