The agency handles a wide portfolio of leading healthcare brands, both in the UK and overseas. In addition to ethical medicine brands they also work on corporate accounts, health awareness campaigns and direct-to-patient communication programmes for clinical trials. They are looking for an Account Manager with previous healthcare communications experience and a desire to exceed expectations to join this truly amazing corporate communications team. The role of the Account Manager here is to support this fast growing sector of the business, working across a number of accounts in the areas of allergy, psoriasis, age-related macular degeneration, multiple sclerosis and cancer. Working in a team of 6 headed by an Account Director, this role also works closely with the Global Business Director and the team on busy corporate communications accounts. Working on both internal and external communications, you will be expected to manage the day-to-day activities on a range of projects including advertising campaigns, brochures, direct mail, newsletters and websites
You are already probably working as an Account Manager or newly promoted Senior Account Manager in a healthcare, or possibly a consumer advertising agency, or you may hold a communications role within the pharmaceutical industry, and are looking for an opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge. As an Account Manager / Senior Account Manager here you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge base beyond the immediate horizons of your daily workflow. Your challenge will be to become completely familiar with the language of advertising and marketing, the basic strategic principles that guide advertising development, and to develop a deeper appreciation of your clients’ business issues. During this stage of your career, you will also begin to contribute to discussions about the quality of the ideas that you are managing and will be developing your own point of view and an ability to judge creative merit.
