Brand new role with an extremely exciting and innovative events company.
Our client is a b2b events specialist, with a heavy dose of glamour, and they're looking for a Marketing Manager who can help them reflect this. Your first role will be to undertake an analysis of all current marketing, with an emphasis on branding and employee engagements as well as digital channels and to put it place and implement a new marketing strategy for the business. You will need to create and implement a specific digital marketing strategy which meets the needs of the business including SEO and content and you'll need to be happy in the production of creative content including blogs, social media, images and infographics. You will develop event specific marketing plans for chosen events which will include customer research, data capture and analysis. You will manage the external agencies and will have the understanding of which agencies to recruit if specialist skills are required. The role is initially a stand-alone role, however there is the intention to recruit further team members as the role develops and once the most critical areas are identified.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a well-rounded marketer who has experience of developing full marketing strategies and implementing them, who has the ability to provide solutions, not questions and propose these in an effective way to management. You will need to be happy working in an environment where you will not be micro-managed and will be expected to be an expert in your field and provide credible solutions. You'll need to be as happy with off-line as you are with digital projects, and to be prepared for lots of content development and social media, at least in the early stages, and you'll be familiar with Wordpress based websites and Mailchimp for email campaigns. Ideally you'll have had some experience in recruiting and managing a small team, and events industry experience would be hugely advantageous, but certainly not a pre-requisite. Finally, you'll need to be happy working in a really fast-paced environment where things can change at a moment's notice.
