An outstanding opening with a gem of a Birmingham-based PR and social agency to take-over the day-to-day running of some of our largest and most high-profile consumer accounts. These will include major names across the leisure, DIY and automotive sectors.
They have seen extensive growth over the last few years, scooping over 50 industry awards, many for their digital and social campaigns for a range of high-profile consumer clients. Much of their growth is down to the incredible expansion of their digital offering. They are now seeking a Social Media Account Director who will maximise this knowledge, contacts and experience to devise and implement more award-winning campaigns and create strategic recommendations for clients who dominate their individual sectors. Reporting into the Digital Director, you will be an ambitious self-starter and a strategic, commercial thinker who will ensure their social content responds to fast changing consumer trends. You will own and develop their video offering in social content terms and monitor trends in consumer engagement across social, ensure they deliver the best content possible to maximise organic reach. Outside of client management, pitching and campaign development will be a key part of the role. You will have a portfolio of largely consumer clients with a six-figure spend - and will be expected to retain and grow the customer base. You will also manage account teams on a day-to-day level ensuring targets are met and expectations delivered or exceeded.
What we're looking for
First and foremost, you must have at least five years plus experience in a digital / social role - agency or in-house. You must also be a superior networker, strong negotiator and able to stimulate and inspire employees, teams and departments to deliver the highest of standards in digital marketing. You will be competent in developing strategic recommendations to deliver against clients' objectives and business goals, and be comfortable servicing a roster of award-winning, consumer based clients. You will be able to support teams in researching, writing and producing compelling and effective digital content, and delivering paid media campaigns to ensure clients meet engagement, community growth, traffic driving and database growth. You must be solid in managing social communities, engaging with key influencers and building relationships with followers, and be able to ensure clients are provided with real-time opportunities for engagement. Needless to say, must be able to lead on new business pitches, providing valuable insight to the team for new campaigns.
