Channel Marketing Manager

This appointment is critical to our businesses ability to deliver its strategic and tactical plan so we’re looking for someone talented who is an absolute ‘hands-on doer’! The marketing manager will become a trusted advisor to our sales director and the executive team.
We need someone who can take full responsibility and drive a proactive channel marketing program across a small number of ‘high value – low volume’ channel partners (circa 35). The marketing manager will build strong relationships with internal key stakeholders and ensure that the benefit of being a Convergence Group channel partner encourages customer loyalty, transparency, retention, growth and a great experience.
The role will include product and service positioning, training workshops, campaigns, incentives, reward and recognition and continuous development ultimately resulting in retention and ‘net-growth’. The successful marketing manager will bring passion, energy, marketing flair, fun and creativity to the program ultimately supporting healthy revenue and margin growth.

Who were looking for?
We’re looking for a bright, confident, commercial, collaborative individual who will drive the organisation’s strategic marketing agenda. An overriding sense of commerciality and focus on delivery is key as is a keen eye for detail.
The ideal candidate should have industry experience within an IT, Telecoms or Software background. Candidates should also have a strong digital marketing background with experience of social media platforms and websites.
“Rolling up one’s sleeves” will also be important as you’d expect in a business this size, and we’ll be looking for candidates to demonstrate they can work at pace in a fast moving highly competitive business.
Is it for you?
It will be highly attractive to candidates for a variety of reasons. For example, you may wish to bring your skills and experience from a larger blue-chip organisation to be the number one marketing professional in a smaller, agile and highly commercial driven organisation.
Alternatively, you may already be in a similar role in a smaller business, possibly a successful start-up and be looking to be part of an organisation with an even more ambitious future.
Either way, you’ll need to demonstrate you have played a key role in growing businesses (or divisions) previously and can succeed in an entrepreneurial culture!

The successful candidate will be required to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Vetting Standard (BPSS) and may be required to undergo Security Clearance (SC)
Up to £38,000 and potentially up to a 10% bonus
