A Technical Project Manager is needed for an exciting new business, with already proven success at their Bristol base. There’s currently rapid growth with regards to both client numbers and business size and so they need someone experienced and talented to join their team and help them manage the production of award-winning, high quality data-driven applications that are already used worldwide. You’ll be supported by an extremely gifted team of Devs and Engineers and will be one of the first in an area of the business that will look to be an area of high growth in the coming year. This is a really interesting opportunity to work in a high-energy, start-up like environment with the safety and security of a big business.

What experience you'll need

You’ll have a minimum of four years’ experience working as a Project Manager, with at least two years working in Agile environments. You’ll need to have worked in delivery highly quality digital and/or technical projects or products. Experience working in a highly technical environment in which you had proven success, perhaps even despite not having a complete and detailed technical understanding, is important. Any experience with JIRA and other Atlassian tools will be beneficial, as well as having worked in distributed teams using chat tools for daily communication. Experience working in a start-up environment will be a huge bonus, as will any experience with programming or analytics.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be working within the newly created project management team and will be supporting one or more dev teams. You’ll be doing this by using Agile methodology to take project lead and also liaise with top tier clients. You'll establish performance metrics and regular status update practices and work with product owners to help define the quarterly roadmap.  Day-to-day this will involve sprint planning and reviews, as well as coaching the teams under your remit on best practices. Your feedback and opinions will help to facilitate ongoing improvements throughout the business. Initially the team you’ll be working with will be 5 or 6 strong but that will be looking to grow quickly.
