A global legal firm with one of the leading energy practices in the world with an impressive track record has a vacancy for a Business Development Manager EMEA - Energy. The global energy business development team is at the heart of the practice, drawing all parts of the business together and driving effective management of the sector worldwide. The Business Development Manager, Energy will support the continued development of the energy practice for the EMEA region across all sectors.

They will plan and lead incisive communications, marketing and business development tactics across the EMEA business, ensuring key objectives in the business plan are met. The tactics will be in line with global strategy and tailored to local markets. The Business Development Manager, Energy reports to the Global Head of Business Development - Energy and the Head of Energy for EMEA. They will work in cooperation with business development teams across the region and with colleagues in Australia, Canada, South Africa, South America and the US. This is an excellent Business Development Manager role and will be a mix of strategic and tactical and will cover all areas of marketing, business development and client relationship management.

It will be essential that the role holder challenges the partnership, in order to increase the quality and effectiveness of BD & marketing campaigns for this vital business area of the firm. Key to this will be business planning, working closely with partners and members of the senior management team, looking at what has been in place previously whilst suggesting new and innovative ideas to win work. The Business Development Manager - Energy will also be required to get their hands dirty to ensure that all initiatives are implemented correctly. This will include product marketing, internal and external communications, CRM, pitch management and detailed research and analysis.

Pre-requisites include a strong academic background allied to proven marketing and business development experience gained in the legal or professional services sector. You will also require the ability to influence a senior internal audience across numerous geographies in order to turn ideas into workable best practice.
