Description

This market-leading organisation provide a stream of impactful content for large number of sites under one umbrella. They partner with a number of leading consumer brands and use this content as an avenue to drive sales through a strong affiliate network – the Head of eCommerce will look to take ownership of this whole aspect of the business and take the strategic steps necessary to drive continued growth.

What you’ll be doing

This role has come about as part of the eCommerce team to head up this commercial aspect of the business. Depending on the product, the purchase process may run through an affiliate network or link directly to various clients that the business works with. Either way, it’s a relatively complicated customer journey to get stuck into, all the while aiming to increase spend from existing partners, new clients/affiliates and additional opportunities for eCommerce with the wider product team. You’ll be able to merchandise the eCommerce sites to full effectiveness to boost conversions and work closely with the analytics team to understand where certain aspects of the site can be optimised. Having a commercial mindset and enjoying this side of the business will help enormously.

What experience you’ll need

The affiliate understanding is really key here to understand how best to position product offerings to the customer, whilst viewing opportunities to develop eCommerce as part of the brand. So ideally you will have come from an affiliate eCommerce background, or perhaps a traditional online retail setting where affiliates are a major part of your day to day.

What you’ll get in return for your talents

You can expect a salary up to around £45-60k plus bonus, with additional benefits including birthday day off, interest free season ticket loan, cycle to work scheme, healthcare options and more.
