The role:

A leading educational establishment requires an experienced Project Manager to assist with the feasibility study and set-up of a franchise within a partnering educational establishment.
With experience in the delivery of educational projects and frameworks, you will lead a project team and liaise between internal, external and academic stakeholders.
You will establish a workload and resource plan covering a multi-functional project team drawn from various departments including IT, Finance, Legal, Operations, and Marketing.
You will also be responsible for the communications plan (internal and external), and will hold overall responsibility for risk assessment & management, and for the project budget.
Working in tandem with Finance & Procurement departments, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of the project to agreed timescales and cost, up to and including handover of the project to the operational team.

Essential experience and qualifications

Degree-qualified or with equivalent professional experience, you will hold APM or Prince2 certification.
You will be able to demonstrate full lifecycle project management experience, including project planning, financial management and the preparation of key project documentation including timescale plans, risk registers, benefits realisation, budgets and board reporting packs.
You will have had prior exposure to the management of large project teams, management of project budgets in excess of £5m, and the management of third party suppliers. Additionally, you will have experience of delivering outcomes through staff where there is no direct line management responsibility.
You will also be well-versed in the setting and management of project tolerances and change request processes.

Technical skills

Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
Presentation of project plans and progress reports through verbal and written communication.
Use of project management software eg MS Project
Negotiation skills
Cultural awareness
