Ecommerce Trading Junior Merchandiser to support the Ecommerce Merchandiser in maximising the sales & profit of all digital sales channels and regions. Working closely with Buying & Merch teams and analysing overall performance and identifies opportunity and risk within product offer.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Accountable for maximising the sales and profit potential for all marketing groups
  • Establish best practise web trading processes and tools and develop the team
  • Oversees the Ecommerce AM’s in delivering the online trade plan instilling commercial awareness throughout the team
  • Identify & respond to new competitor and market trends by highlighting competitor activity & trade opportunities (Gap Analysis)
  • Focus throughout is on the customer journey and user experience
  • Successfully plan and forecast expansion and growth in new and existing territories
  • Influence key stakeholders through compelling insights and effective presentation of results
  • Work with the Ecommerce Merchandiser to continuously improve the approach and training behind online trading and optimisation
  • Play an active role in educating other areas of the business on the importance and impact of understanding online customer behaviour
  • Ensure overall digital plans are aligned as part of an overall multichannel trading strategy but linked to department strategies with joint financial goals
  • Analyse overall performance, forecasts and opportunities to review with BUYING & MERCH
  • Work with junior members of the team, providing support and coaching
  • Work collaboratively with Buying & Merch teams to maximise sales and profit and being commercially market aware ensure new trends are capitalised
  • Build strong and collaborative relationships with Buying & Merch to maximise multichannel sales and profit through joined up merchandising and trading plans
  • Work collaboratively with The Ecommerce Marketing team to ensure trade promotion and execution is conducted effectively
  • Work collaboratively with The Ecommerce Content team and user experience team to ensure customer experience reflects key intake blocks
  • Work collaboratively with Ecommerce Merchandiser to support the quarterly planning process, highlighting risk and opportunity
  • 30% of time working with Buying & Merch to drive performance
  • 25% of time overseeing the day to day performance of the team
  • 25% of time developing and refining best practise trading tools and techniques
  • 20% of time learning new trading techniques and developing myself and your team
