As Marketing Communications officer you will have the opportunity to work for one of the largest independent retailers in the UK, with over 400 trading outlets based in the heart of Lichfield.
Your new role
As Marketing Communications officer you will contribute to the development and delivery of an annual marketing plan to achieve effective omnichannel marketing of the Society to customers, optimizing opportunities to cross market society products and services. You will manage the production of membership, retail, funeral, travel and corporate promotional material and POS ensuring quality and accuracy across all aspects of production, receipt and distribution. Key accountabilities as marketing communications officer include: Delivery of trading marketing activity to time and budget, Proactive ideation of marketing campaigns - on brand and in line with strategy, Social engagement and Digital content engagement. As Marketing Communications officer you will be responsible for producing attractive and effective consumer and member communications and campaigns, utilising printed media, leafleting, websites and social media. You will also be responsible for monitoring the marketing communications budget for the specified area and recommend areas for improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal Marketing Communications officer will have experience of writing campaigns briefs, omnichannel marketing and managing budgets. You must have an in-depth understanding of trading whilst having experience of working in a multisite environment. You will be proficient in social media, analytics and fluent in Microsoft packages. The ability to establish internal and external relationships to sustain personal credibility and deliver bottom line targets is essential, alongside the demonstration of working collaboratively with senior colleagues. You must have excellent communication skills and a Marketing qualification is required.
