As the Business Development Executive for a successful law firm, your primary role will be to support Business Development Manager in the planning, development and execution of marketing plans and campaigns and to help in the identification and creation of opportunities to win new business for the firm's largest division, Business Services. In addition, this role will also support the co-ordination of some of the key geographical areas of focus, most notably Africa and The Caribbean.

The role is broad in nature and the role holder will act as the 'go to' business development person, providing day to day support to the division, in particular in relation to planning and budgeting; strategic targeting of new business and the development of relationships with contacts capitalising on the firm's existing networks; information capture and reporting; pitches and capability statements; and the delivery of specific sector-agnostic campaigns. The Business Development Executive (Business Services) will also be responsible for profile raising activities and marketing communications. You will support the planning and delivery of a variety of targeted events such as seminars, workshops, receptions and other client hospitality; identify and co-ordinate PR activity; project manage directory and award submissions; assist in the creation of marketing collateral and direct mailings; and organise and maintain internet and intranet content.

The ideal candidate for the role of Business Development Executive (Business Services) will be a well educated team player, with significant experience in a professional services environment, ideally within a partnership. This role would suit either an existing Business Development Executive or an experienced and ambitious Business Development Assistant looking for the next step up. You must possess a flair for the sales side of professional services marketing and be robust, confident and pro-active. Above all, you must excel at dealing effectively with conflicting requirements and have the capacity to adapt and respond at short notice.
