Our client is one of the leading distribution and business services companies, employing over 1500 people across the UK. Following a strategic review of their UK marketing capability, they are looking to recruit four important roles as they invest heavily in creating a best-in-class marketing environment.
Looking to recruit a commercially driven, strategic Marketing Communications Manager with experience in brand development, having worked in both B2B and B2C environments, ideally with a utilities background. Salary £50,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience.

The successful candidate will have strong brand propositioning and building experience, having a track record of delivery of effective marketing activities across various elements of the marketing mix, in particular direct marketing, telemarketing, advertising and digital communications. Being a strong leader who has managed a marketing team, you will be an influential individual, with experience of working successfully with a regional management structure to deliver business objectives.

Further essential skills for this role will include strong project management skills, budget management skills and digital marketing expertise - incorporating mobile, social, SEO/SEM and content.

Some of the core responsibilities will include:

- Managing the positioning and development of Brand
- Managing the Marketing Communication team on a day to day basis. This includes colleagues responsible for Digital, Production and general marketing communications activities.
- Working with the Senior Marketing team to develop the annual Marketing Plan, advising on the most appropriate channels to deliver the relevant business objectives
- Delivering the Marketing Plan within the agreed budgets and according to the timescales outlined
- To agree activity briefs with the Customer Marketing team, the priority being the inclusion of realistic costs for customer acquisition (CPA), customer retention and product sales (CPS).
- Based on the briefs provided by the Marketing team or the rest of the business, to implement the most appropriate activity to deliver the required business objectives (mainly CPA and CPS) in a timely manner and within budget.
- To prioritise work on an ongoing basis, depending on strategic need and return on investment. This also involves acting as final sign-off for all marketing activity, to ensure that all activity is compliant and factually correct.
- To constantly review and manage all marketing processes
- To provide an input into the strategic planning process for the Customer Marketing team, recommending new and dynamic ideas for communication & promotion of products and services across all customer segments
- To maintain an in-depth understanding of all the key customer segments and of the most appropriate marketing channels to be used for each one
- Communicate and promote "Core Values" and business objectives within the team
