Our client is one of the leading distribution and business services companies, employing over 1500 people across the UK. Following a strategic review of their UK marketing capability, they are looking to recruit four important roles as they invest heavily in creating a best-in-class marketing environment.

Looking to recruit an Assistant Product Manager to work in partnership with relevant stakeholders aligned to the Product segment to develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of a sustainable Product Innovation process, market value chain and the competitors that operate in these markets.
The role will be responsible with assisting the Product Manager in creating an innovation pipeline, product life cycle and first to market culture. Salary up to £30,000 depending on experience.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in B2B and B2C environments, preferably with a utilities background, and have a mixture of product and marketing experience.

Key accountabilities will include:

-Supporting the Product Manager Fuels with strategic and tactical ideas that improve the margin of the business by building adjacencies to the core offer.
-To provide category and customer insights with the assistance from the Marketing Insight team
-Managing the industry product range on the Visual Product Matrix on CRM - these will mainly include ancillary products and services in line with the product managers
-Utilisation and promotion of product innovation models such as the Stage Gate Process.
-Supporting the Product Manager with monthly strategic sales & marketing reviews, as required, and deliver local actionable tactics
-Undertaking any other activities as requested by the Product Manager and Marketing Director
-Liaising with the relevant senior management to gain additional customer insight and agree activity that delivers against the business objectives and targets for the year.
-Translating and communicating product and customer insights to internal stakeholders, materialising into a differentiated and profitable strategic offer portfolio.
-Assisting the management of selected products and deliver product sales in line with required targets
-Effectively briefing the relevant sales teams on key marketing activity, to ensure that they are fully supported from a Sales perspective. To then challenge the Sales teams on a regular basis to ensure continued focus on these activities, using performance data provided by the Customer Insight team.
-Work closely with the wider Marketing team to evaluate, review and improve the effectiveness of marketing activities
