Our client is a leading UK law firm, with an increasing international reach. It has an outstanding reputation for providing high quality, straight-talking advice and exceptional client service. Its BD team is front and centre of providing a really innovative approach to client development. The firm has recently refreshed its BD strategy and this has created an opportunity for someone to come in and lead the combined client and sector team for the firm - ensuring opportunities are maximised, thinking and approaches are joined up and a greater emphasis placed on international opportunities.
Working with the BD & Marketing Director and key lead partners, you will develop and ensure a commercial and consistent approach to business planning and targeting across these sectors and clients. You will look at creative and innovative ways to bring in new clients and develop existing relationships. You will lead and manage the client and sector BD team, ensuring they are adding value and sharing knowledge and best practice across the rest of the BD team. The role will also have responsibility for managing two major clients, joining up client feedback and inputting into significant, strategic bids as and when needed.
To be considered for this role, you will need to have had a demonstrable track record within a similar role in an advisory capacity. You will ideally have a good understanding of the legal environment and be commercial in your outlook. You will have excellent leadership and people management skills, have the ability to see things from the client's point of view and be someone who wants to help drive change.
