PR Senior Account Manager or Junior Account Director £35-40K

Berkshire: commutable from Basingstoke/Newbury/Swindon/Oxford/Reading


This role is for an award-winning creative agency delivering marketing campaigns to some of

the UKs most loved brands, and they are on the lookout for a super bright spark to help

them manage and grow some of their top accounts. You will have a really great

understanding of the full marketing mix, be passionate about effective

communications as well as delivering a level of service and insight that ensures

clients' first and only thought is this agency.

You will be expected to manage client accounts in the Communications department, which delivers our PR; Social Media; and Content offering.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to client communication strategies and to manage client account


  • Building long-term relationships with clients, ensuring the delivery of effective

results and making sure they are their most valuable partner

  • Developing and implementing a range of activities online and offline including

copywriting, media liaison, lead generation, content marketing, events and

lots in between

  • Inputting into the strategic communications consultancy, adding value to the

planning and helping develop proposals and client presentations

  • Planning and budgeting monthly campaign activities across all client accounts

under management

  • Copywriting and content briefing with the communications team and wider

agency teams

  • Analysing campaign performance, preparing and presenting timely reports for

presentation to the client

  • Ensuring the delivery of effective campaign ROI, whilst managing internal

costs and client invoicing

  • Supervising Account Executives and other junior staff

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Enjoy working in a collaborative and busy environment
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be able to demonstrate experience of managing marketing and/or communication campaigns
  • Be highly organised and responsive even when working on multiple clients and to tight deadlines at any one time
  • Have a willingness to consistently learn and adopt new processes as the

industry and technologies continue to develop

  • Be pro-active in your approach to client and team management
  • Plan communications programmes, incorporating both strategy and tactics
  • Manage accounts unsupervised and gain trust and respect of clients

Preferred knowledge:

  • Knowledge of PR and marketing across a range of industries, particularly B2Band also Medical, Technology, Education and Professional Services sectors
  • Informed about all communications methods including above and below the line activities
  • Excellent knowledge of current affairs and politics
