Our client is one of the leading distribution and business services companies, employing over 1500 people across the UK. Following a strategic review of their UK marketing capability, they are looking to recruit four important roles as they invest heavily in creating a best-in-class marketing environment.
Looking to recruit a Sector Marketing Manager with a retail background and both B2B and B2C experience to be based near Falkirk, who will be accountable for the strategic marketing plan for the retail sector. Salary £40,000 - £45,000 dependant on experience, with car allowance.
This role will work in partnership with senior stakeholders in order to develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the industry, market value chain and competitors within these markets. The post-holder will own all marketing targets related to customer acquisition, retention, and product ancillary and services sales / margin.

Some of the core responsibilities will include:
-Create and execute customer-centric marketing tactics and drive competitive advantage by continuous improvement.
-Developing a high level of customer insight into all business sectors, having a clear understanding of market size, customer needs, buying behaviour, competitors and strategic positioning; utilising all these to develop effective strategies for achieving competitive advantage
-Liasing with the relevant senior management to gain additional customer insight and agree activity that delivers against their business objectives and targets for the year and 3 year plan.
-Working closely with the relevant Heads of Sales/Sector to agree the contribution that marketing activity can deliver to their annual business plans: including customer acquisition, retention and product sales targets, all of which ultimately will result in margin generation for the business
-Translating and communicating industry and customer insights to internal stakeholders, develop a differentiated and profitable strategic offer portfolio and create the strategic marketing plan.
-Delivering the agreed annual marketing plan and manage the agreed budget required for each sector.
-Lead monthly strategic Sales and Marketing Reviews with each region, to challenge sales teams using performance data and deliver local, actionable marketing tactics that supplement the annual Marketing Plan when necessary.
-Analysis and planning of business growth opportunities, in line with the company's vision, which could contribute to the delivery of incremental profit for the business. This includes proposals and business cases to the commercial board and leadership team
-Lead development projects that arise from growth opportunities in line with the company's project management and stage gate process.
