The Communications team is highly respected within BLP and has responsibilities for managing the Firm’s reputation across all communication channels, both internally and externally to wider audiences, including the media and influencers.
The team has a flat structure as well as senior exposure and there will be plenty of opportunities to use your creative flair across a number of exciting internal and external campaigns.
Working within BLP’s busy global communications team, you will support both internal and external communications. Internally you’ll be seeking to better connect our people and helping to activate the Firm’s overarching internal campaign. Externally you’ll be focussing on enhancing our reputation across a wide variety of media, including national, international, trade and legal titles as well as helping to increase BLP’s exposure across broadcast channels.
Who we’re looking for
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a similar role across either or preferably both internal and external communications. You will have experience of writing a wide variety internal copy and using a number of different channels – from an intranet site through to video – to execute campaigns. Externally, you will have an in-depth knowledge of the media with proven experience of dealing with trade, national and international journalists. The candidate must be comfortable using the full range of media channels – including social – to increase the awareness of the Firm.
Experience of using print, broadcast and online media to project key news and information is crucial. A broad business media contact base is a bonus.
You will have a good knowledge of social and digital media particularly Twitter and LinkedIn. Strong writing and proofreading skills are necessary with experience of drafting copy for different audiences and styles.
Strong organisational skills are essential to deliver on tasks including: managing budgets, agency liaison regarding monthly meetings and weekly conference calls, monitoring reports, coverage books, subscriptions and suppliers.
