Job Role
Our client is a co-educational, independent school based in Greater Manchester, now looking to recruit a Marketing and Development Manager as historically, marketing activity has been handled by a variety of roles within the school, and they are now looking to adapt a more streamlined approach by appointing a Marketing Manager with 3-5 years' experience who is keen to take ownership of a new role. Salary up to £30,000 depending on experience.

This is a great opportunity for a driven marketer to shape the development of the school's brand and how it is communicated alongside delivering tangible results for the school.

The key objectives for the role are as follows:
1.Raising the profile of the school through marketing tactics (PR/media relations, advertising, website development and promotion, social media, events and open days etc.) to attract prospective parents/pupils whilst engaging with and retaining the existing roll.
2.Develop a brand communication strategy, through the identification of the strengths of the school's brand, that will deliver agreed funding goals for the school on both a short term/project and a long-term/bursary fund basis. This could involve liaison with a variety of stakeholders including the business community, parents, external funding streams, entrepreneurs and the media.
3.Proactively engage in the delivery of long-term strategic goals for the school as identified by the Head and Senior Management Team and demonstrate where the marketing function can support and contribute in their delivery i.e.: fundraising, brand/profile building, engaging with stakeholders, crisis management etc.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the above skills and experience within previous roles. This role will be responsible for managing campaign budgets and they are not extensive so experience of purchasing marketing collateral is important. Being capable of clear, concise reporting to the Head and Bursar regarding the financial performance of marketing activity versus results delivered is vital.
