Senior Online Trading Manager

Purple Monkey Recruitment are working with a leading retail pureplay company based in West Yorkshire who are looking for an experienced Senior Online Trading Manager to head up their brand new Trading Team.

The company is dynamic, creative and innovative and is now investing heavily in eCommerce. They’re one of the fastest growing and largest independent online retailers, with a turnover in excess of £100 million. They continue to grow year on year, so now’s the time to join in as they’re looking for someone experienced who can help them get to the next level!

As Senior Online Trading Manager:

  • you will be responsible for the sales performance of goods and services across their websites and 3rd party marketing channels.
  • Your passion will be selling (digitally) and conversion.
  • you will have a strong background and an instinctual talent for selling products and services online.
  • although ROI will be behind what you do, digital needs to excite you and you will be comfortable and sufficiently creative to try new things.
  • You will have a team of 10 traders reporting to you each responsible for the sales performance of a different product category through the websites and market channels.
  • You will share the Buyer’s targets for revenue, profit and aged stock.
  • You’ll own their large advertising budget and will work with the Traffic Manager to plan and monitor campaigns.
  • You will also work with the Creative team to produce engaging copies and visuals.

Required Experience:

  • Previous experience working as an online Trading Manager
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Analytically minded and able to spot the patterns and trends.
  • Be enthusiastic, willing to learn, and have a drive to succeed.
