If you are a driven, dynamic and forward thinking Operations Manager with extensive people management experience this is role is going to be of interest.

The Company

My client is a major player within the Charity Fundraising environment. They specialise in response handling, fulfilment and payment processing as well as creating large scale lottery and raffle campaigns for major UK Charities such as RNIB and Guide Dogs for the Blind.  

Due to major growth plans and a commitment to customer excellence they are now looking for an experienced Operations Manager.

The role.
  • Create an exceptional, service delivery focused service
  • Create and maintain a continuous improvement programme
  • Use LEAN methodologies to drive efficiencies
  • Overall management of circa 35 FTE’s swelling to 60 during peak periods
  • Oversee Post Opening, Scanning, Data Capture, Banking & Supporter Services
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Overall management of a team of approx. 35 FTE’s (60 during peaks period) – direct management of 4 supervisors
  • Where necessary, support the recruitment and training of the team whilst ensuring departmental compliance with training.
  • Accountable for service excellence
  • Establish a programme of continuous improvement with full employee engagement
  • Utilising LEAN methodologies to continuously refine internal procedure and work flows to ensure teams are effective, efficient and delivery focused.
  • Create clear handover processes between your own departments and other teams – defining where responsibility lies.
  • Assist in the setting of budgets for your departments and be accountable to delivering to those goals
  • Provide regular performance reports on SLAs, KPIs and actuals vs budget
 The experience we need.
  • A proven ability to lead high performance teams to deliver the highest standards with enthusiasm and high energy
  • In-depth knowledge of employee engagement
  • Strong team leadership background
  • At least 2 years’ experience in managing multiple teams totalling at least 20 FTEs
  • Demonstrable success in service delivery management
  • Background in project management, process improvement and campaign management.
  • Be an effective communicator and have excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in managing teams of up to 60 people with evidence of positive staff engagement
  • Third sector experience is preferable
