8 month contract Project Manager/Events Management role in Cardiff paying £300pd

Your new role
You will be working for the Project Manager, and you will be responsible for supporting the PM with the development and successful implementation for a transport plan for a major event in Wales. You will be responsible for the overall day to day management of the project up to and post event, managing the co-ordination of all the internal and external stakeholders and functional owners, and managing project communications with all the various internal and external stakeholders. You must ensure all areas of the plan is on track to deliver on time, support the project governance by arranging and attending project meetings inside and outside the company, and produce and maintain documentation and reports on discussions, progress, and actions.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have 5-10 years' experience of operating within controlled project environment, and experience of managing wide and varied stakeholder groups both internal and external to the client organisation. You will have either an APM or Prince 2 or Equivalent project management qualification, and have exceptional governance and project reporting skills. Knowledge of rail / transport operations, and experience of managing large public events would be advantageous
What you'll get in return
You will be offered a 8 month contract until June 2017, with a day rate of £300 pd
