Are you a creative PR Officer who loves animals? Would you like to join a friendly marketing team?

This is an exciting opportunity to join our client and play a vital role by building their reputation as a value-driven organisation that is committed to delivering the highest standard of client and patient care.

They are looking for someone who is currently in a PR Officer/Co-ordinator position with at least 2-3 years' experience in the role. You will need to have previous supervisory/management experience as you will be line managing the Marketing & Content Co-ordinator and the Marketing Assistant. Your supervisory experience doesn't necessarily have to come from your time in a PR role, it could be from a previous position.

As Public Relations Officer you will assist in providing an effective PR service for the business partners as well as developing new businesses.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing and delivering of PR Strategy
  • Launch of new services
  • Providing "good news" stories
  • Promoting the company by facilitating and attending social events, contributing to a vibrant yet productive environment
  • Other duties will consist of researching and writing blog posts, updating social media accounts, and facilitating and providing content for our brand agency across the websites
  • Website content development and management
  • Social media marketing
  • Assisting with admin functions as required
  • Dealing with any TV or radio opportunities

Essential:

  • Experience
  • Experience promoting events and activities
  • 2-3yrs previous PR experience both on and offline
  • Experience working flexibly, including responding to media issues out of normal office hours when necessary
  • Excellent written skills and an ability to tailor your writing style to the audience or channel being used
  • Be able to use your own initiative and lead projects from start to finish
  • Strong organisational skills
  • To mentor and coach your direct reports to develop and grow their skills
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Proven ability to work under pressure
  • Strong organisational skills
  • A high level of competence in MS Word, Outlook & Exce
