A top PR agency based in beautiful new offices in the heart of Central London is looking for a Director to manage its Consumer Health Division. The Director provides strategic client counsel and account and business direction. As a senior member within their team, Directors are responsible for providing vision and leadership to junior team members across the business - the Director will relish taking the lead on a Consumer Health portfolio of clients; working closely with the Executive Director, the Director will be heavily involved in resource planning as well as playing a key role in driving the business forward through developing and delivering new business opportunities.

You should be somebody who is able to write, lead and develop on communications strategies and tactical plans; oversee project management across the account teams, ensuring smooth delivery ; lead media relations activity, coaching team to construct media strategies and capitalise on media opportunities; guide teams to develop innovative PR campaigns that meet client objectives and maximise outputs against budget; cultivate working relationships with KOLs and other third parties on behalf of the agency and its clients’ oversee the formulation and handling of issues response where appropriate including client strategy counsel regarding issues and crisis; continue to give shape, coherence and direction to all written materials, ensuring they meet strategic needs and oversee quality control for all written materials and line manage team members, supporting them in setting and meeting their objectives.

You need to be somebody with an in-depth understanding of the healthcare PR environment, applying growing knowledge towards the implementation and development of client and new business programmes; be able to build an in depth knowledge of the consumer and prescription health industry, and client environment; keep updated on new developments within PR and marketing including competitor activity and keep updated on the relevant regulatory codes and legislation (ABPI, PAGB, MHRA and other regulatory bodies that impact on client business).

You will require a solid degree or equivalent level qualification achieved within Communications, PR or a related field; 3 or more years proven experience at Senior Account Director level within a healthcare PR / Comms agency; proven experience working across integrated campaigns for large health clients; proven team leadership and project management skills and excellent people management skills – managing performance, delegation and coaching.
