Parliamentary Officer Opportunity - 12 month FTC.

Parliamentary Officer required for a leading Government Regulatory Department. 12 month FTC based in the heart of London.

Your new company
This is a standards setting organisation, making decisions entirely independently from government. They are responsible for handling serious issues raised across its sector, specialising in the criminal justice system.

Your new role
As the Parliamentary Officer for the organisation, you will handle all parliament correspondence and advising on MP matters. You will liaise with various departments across the organisation including the Commissioners Secretariat, Operations, and the Press teams, so stakeholder engagement, building relationships, and the ability to pull information together from various sources is essential. You will coordinate all Parliamentary details across the organisation, attending debates/ committee meetings, and providing written updates. You will work closely with the Chair/CEO/ Commissioners to ensure they are fully briefed in advance of appearances.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have strong written communications and engagement skills, and experience of advising with Parliament or Whitehall on matters previously. It would be advantageous if you have an awareness of the criminal justice system or having worked in an Ombudsman, but this is not essential.

What you'll get in return
Offering a generous salary for the position of £39,975, you will also be eligible for flexible working, cycle to work schemes and season ticket loans for travel.
