My client is a leading London-based international business communications consultancy - a partnership - specialising in reputation, influence and engagement. They work with their clients to ignite multiple and complex audiences through deep insight, expert storytelling and creative delivery.

Role Overview

This agency is looking for a Partner to join their Capital Markets team with a focus on Energy, Natural Resources, Aerospace/Transport. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing a wide-ranging portfolio of clients across these sectors. You will also be responsible for taking a lead role in sector-related and City marketing, together with developing and delivering new business. Whilst you must be comfortable and familiar with all financial markets situations and transactions, the role will also involve a significant element of corporate communications and issues/crisis management. An ability to manage a range of fast-moving projects and situations simultaneously is critical. Strong media awareness and an intense interest in public and international affairs are important.

Duties and responsibilities
*Oversee and own portfolio of clients
*Viewed by clients as trusted strategic advisor
*Demands high standards and sets the quality benchmark for the team
*Consistently adds value to client communications requirements
*Takes a lead role in the development of the business
*Well-developed networking and relationship-building skills
*Accomplished presentation skills
*Fully participates in and adds value to the internal team at Partner level
*A thorough knowledge and understanding of the City, capital markets and traditional/digital media
*Deputises for the Managing Partner where required

Capital Markets
*Able to manage a high profile, price sensitive media situation independently and well
*Comfortable in all financial markets situations and transactions (M+A and IPOs)
*Comprehensive network of banker, broker, financial media and new business contacts

*Manages billing for portfolio clients
*Manages fees against time and cost and negotiates with clients as appropriate
*Leads new business development and generates own new business leads
*Assists development of new business strategy
*Looks for opportunities and demonstrates ability to add organic growth to existing clients
*Engages with Partners and Managing Partners across the business as a whole for the purposes of commercial and client benefit

*Understands and implements appraisal process and if requested provides input for appraisals in a timely manner
*Takes a proactive role in building the skill sets and experience of line reports
*Sets motivating and stretching objectives to ensure client objectives are achieved and career progression is advanced for team members
*Adopts a leadership style that is motivating and focused on quality delivery at all times
*Deals proactively with any team issues that may arise

Skills & Experience
*Relevant experience at a mid to senior level
*Experience in a PR, Consultancy, Agency, Banking, Broking, Legal, Media environment would be an advantage.
