Content Manager
A leading leisure and travel business in Bury is looking for a Digital Content Manager to lead and develop their online content strategy. This is a key role within a growing business to help drive growth in sales over the coming years.

In this medium size business, you will handle both the strategy and implementation of the digital content. You will work across multiple digital channels and be able to see the direct impact of your campaigns and the difference they make on sales.


- Develop and implement a strategy to drive forward improved merchandising and content on the UK & Ireland websites, supporting the Campaign and Promotion Calendar and enhancing the user experience through all parts of the customer booking and life cycles.
- To create a content strategy that helps achieve the business' goals by maximising the commercial impact of content, working alongside other members of the marketing and digital development teams.
- Work with the Conversion and Optimisation Manager to developing and manage recommendation and personalisation strategies.
- Drive best practice, including SEO techniques to optimise content for search, and through awareness of different devices and the use / impact of responsive design.
- Use web analytics data, online customer feedback and other forms of eCommerce insight to evaluate and optimise the performance of content.
- Manage scheduling, delivery and maintenance of all content online using company CMS including all brand, product and proposition content, campaign promotions, rich media (video, images, maps), business and product initiative launches and content based functionality.
- Work alongside the Online Acquisition Manager and Brand Manager to develop and enhance website content to support PPC, SEO, eCRM and other online marketing activities.
- Work with the Brand Manager and Digital Content Executive to define photography requirements and manage process to directly source or build and deliver photoshoot requirements
- Copywriting for a variety of media including the website, brochure content, e-mail, direct mail, and above the line activity. Working closely with the Multimedia Designers to develop content.
- Execute the content marketing strategy using various digital media - articles, blogs, video, graphics - that engage prospects with the brand.
- Create a blog strategy and be the lead writer, planner, editor and advocate for the company blog

- Experience of using a Content Management System
- Experience of integrated content marketing for digital channels
- Proven track record of writing and editing high quality, user-centric digital content for websites
-Excellent grammar, copywriting experience and meticulous attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of SEO, and experience of using SEO techniques and tools to optimise content for search
- Excellent general understanding of digital channels and technologies
- Experience of working in a high pressure, deadline-oriented digital team
- Experience of using analytics to measure and improve performance
- Hands on knowledge of graphics and design packages such as the Adobe suite
