A well-loved British brand are looking for an eCommerce Manager to join them alongside their factory which still lies in Poole. An established business, they’re looking for someone who wants to work for a thriving independent and has what it takes to grow the brand online.

What you’ll be doing

You will be managing a team of 3 to drive sales online through both the main website and various marketplaces, including Amazon and eBay. The role is 100% hands on, so you’ll enjoy working on all aspects of ecommerce – online merchandising, trading, PPC, SEO, social, affiliate management and display campaigns. Interestingly, some of the wholesale sales will fall into your remit, so you’ll be confident speaking to retailers who could be future evangelists of the brand. This highlights how important your role is as a whole across the business, and not just online. Making sure that orders are processed swiftly and that customer service is of the highest standard also falls into your remit.

What experience you’ll need

The successful person will have at least 2 years’ experience working for an online business across the whole of eCommerce. Knowledge of marketplaces is pretty key as well, given the need to maintain high ratings to ensure the stores remains viable. You’ll be a people person, not afraid to dive into the wider responsibilities mentioned above, and able to handle stress during particularly busy periods. This is the lead up to Christmas for them (as with many other online retail businesses).

What you’ll get in return for your talents

The chance to work for a historical brand in a truly autonomous environment. Salary here is £25-30k, with the chance to make bonus also. This illustrates that while the role is a big one, the rewards are there to be earned should you relish a challenge.
