PPC Manager - Greater Manchester - £35-45k + bonus

Our client is an extremely successful, multi-award winning, multichannel retailer enjoying a sustained period of fantastic growth. They are in the process of building a best in class ecommerce function at the forefront of innovation and require a talented, self-starting and forward thinking PPC Manager to join this growing and dynamic team.

Based in Greater Manchester, this is a brand new role reporting to the Head of Ecommerce providing an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned, analytical and hardworking PPC fanatic to build and lead their own paid search team. You'll have proven experience managing large budgets and achieving exceptional results across the full range of paid media, including PPC, retargeting, shopping and other emerging performance channels.

Key Responsibilities

*Daily management, optimisation and performance of all paid search channels, search and shopping campaigns across multiple brands, utilising all available features and technologies, ensuring a high quality of delivery at all times, aiming to constantly improve in order to stay ahead of competitors.
*Hit the ground running and work with the Head of Ecommerce and CEO to define the overall PPC strategy as part of the company wide marketing mix.
*Lead, develop and grow the department to achieve set monthly goals by delegating appropriate tasks and making sure that everyone is working effectively.
*Optimise keyword portfolio through A/B and multivariate testing with ad copy, landing pages, bidding strategies and negative keywords.
*Perform keyword research and ad copy writing in coordination with business objectives to optimise existing content and discover new opportunities.
*Liaising with internal teams to ensure bidding reflects current marketing campaigns and trading needs.
*Supply and present a clear and consolidated view on performance, including weekly and monthly reports, for operational and exec/board level.
*Produce forecasts and budgets covering traffic, sales and cost of sales metrics.
*Be the 'go to' person in the business for all things paid search, imparting your expertise and experience on direct reports, the wider ecommerce team and the wider business.
*Collaborate with Google Account Managers to continually optimise account performance and identify opportunities for growth.
*Training and development of executives while staying up to date with industry wide news and updates, dealing with them accordingly, as well as investigating software and tools to boost all paid search channels.

Skills and Attributes

*At least 5 years' experience within a PPC role managing sophisticated campaigns, agency or client side, ideally for a large catalogue ecommerce retail business.
*Able to manage large budgets effectively whilst generating ROI.
*In depth knowledge of Google AdWords, Bing Ads and other search engine ad platforms, as well as Google Shopping, Merchant Center and Analytics.
*AdWords and Analytics certified.
*Fluent in Microsoft Excel and comfortable manipulating data, providing insight to various levels of the business.
*A numerical, analytical mind with high accuracy and attention to detail, always looking for ways to improve.
*A confident attitude with excellent communication skills when dealing with colleagues at all levels.
*Motivated with very strong organisation and time management skills.
*A real passion for all things paid search, digital marketing and ecommerce.
