This Hospice is a leading charity that runs an adult and children’s hospice in South Bedfordshire. They have 250 staff and 1500 volunteers and their purpose is to care for their patients and to support their families and Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the Marketing and Communications team at this charity’s hospice. The Head of Marketing and Communications will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing approach, to support their income generation activity, provide information for patients, educate and communicate about the hospice care provision and oversee their media and PR activity.

You will have extensive experience of working within the charity sector or for a health care provider, with your sound knowledge of marketing strategies and techniques you will lead on the production of a wide range of marketing, fundraising and education/care-related collateral and lead on creative approaches to inspire support.

You will be responsible for maximising the impact of staff resources within the team to develop, deliver and lead the Marketing and Communications Plan, activities and budget. The successful candidate will also develop the charity’s Digital Communications Strategy.

Your experience will include good interpersonal skills, and an ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals, including staff and patients.  You will have strong project management and prioritisation skills and experience of development of new ideas and concepts.
