Business Development Manager - Finance, Real Estate and Projects - 12 month FTC

We are looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager for the Finance, Real Estate and Projects stream of this high profile Legal Services firm. Based in London this role will help develop and drive the implementation of Marketing and BD activity within the sector groups. The individual will work closely with the Partners and the wider team of specialists from across the business in London and Internationally helping create and maximise opportunities that will deliver profitable, revenue growth.

Key responsibilities:
Consistently look for ways to improve BD practices and outcomes to ensure that the firm maximises value
Identify themes in the market, review competitor activity and make recommendations on the firms approach
Develop, with the partners, business/BD plans for each practice area and provide support for the implementation of individual partner and practice area plans
Work with the InterAction manager to champion best practice of InterAction
Liaise with the Communications team on the media plan for each practice area
Manage a number of competitive pitches
Create customised credentials documents highlighting oexpertise across all practice areas
Manage the Legal 500 and Chambers submission process for the finance, real estate and projects submissions
Work with the events manager/BD executive to produce and deliver outstanding client events
Manage, mentor and support a BD executive
Work with the library on targeted client research

Knowledge, skills and experience required
You will be of graduate calibre with at least five years of business development experience in a professional services environment. A strong ability in producing high quality pitch and marketing material is a must. You will also ideally have knowledge of working in the finance, real estate or projects practice areas, though this is not essential.
