PR & Communication Manager
Leading company within the leisure sector are looking for a Group PR and Communications Manager to cover 12 months maternity leave
As one of four PR and Communications Managers, your role will specifically involve handling the box office and catering legs of the business. The company is a leader within the leisure and catering sector and their events attract a nationwide audience of millions. They host events for a massively wide variety of people for music, global brands and events. Your remit will be to create campaigns to support the company's business objectives and tell compelling stories to an audience of internal, national and international professionals. PR campaigns are predominantly geared towards the national trade and local businesses, so there will be a good degree of networking and building up contacts lists. Working with the Head of Marketing, you will deliver focussed Communications and PR campaigns within agreed budgets. Your work load will be mostly proactive but as with any PR team you will required to be a 'hands on deck' as and when other things crop up. You'll also be asked to join to the 'on call' rota with the PR and Communications Managers, but this will be compensated in your salary. The role is positioned within the marketing services team and reports to the Head of PR and Communications.
What we're looking for
We're looking for an experienced PR and Communications professional, who is used to handling a varied client base or multiple 'accounts'. You may well be from a traditional 'in house' PR/ Comms background, but because of the nature of this role we'd also be interested to hear from those of you from agencies as your account handling experience may well be a useful skill set to bring to the table. You don't necessarily have to come from the leisure sector, but an understanding of b2b and b2c is a must. It is a given that you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proven exuberance within the communications industry. In an ideal world you will be a member of the CIPR or PRCA, however this is definitely a "nice to have" as opposed to a" must have".
What's on offer
Salary on offer is £30, 000 and this is a 12 month maternity contract. You must be available to see through the full 12 months. In return, you'll work for a market leader and one of the region's most famous businesses.
