Key role for one of the UK's leading support services organisations to head up their Internal Communications function.
This is an organisation with a large marketing function and which takes its internal communications incredibly seriously. The Internal Communications Manager will, broadly, lead the development, management and implementation of an internal communications strategy plan ensuring all communications work is delivered effectively. You will advise on all Group-wide communications to help decide what should be communicated, when and how and you will monitor feedback at department, site and central levels in order to support the development of the internal comms strategy. You will work closely with HR and will manage specific communications projects. On a day to day basis the internal comms will include working with the web team to support the development of on-line employee communications as well as developing different channels. You will have responsibility for managing and/or approving company-wide literature and will project manage senior management conferences and other significant internal events and you will manage employee communications research and evaluation. As an international business you will also build up awareness of key developments for the company across the globe. Reporting directly to the head of Communications you will have line management responsibility of two, with a third to be recruited via the graduate training scheme later this year.
hat we're looking for:
We're looking for an Internal Communications specialist who has worked within a complex functional or business area, and you'll have at least 5 years team management experience. Any experience of working with an international business would also be useful. You'll need to be confident and articulate, as the successful individual will be expected to influence those at the highest level of the business.
