Customer Insight Analyst  - London - SQL (chance to learn R)

A leading name in the technology and telco industry are in search for a Customer Insight Analyst to join the team. The successful candidate will work within a team that utilises analysis to drive targeted offers to customers and imbed correct marketing strategies within the company.

You will be joining a mature business with tens of millions of customers across a variety of products and services and as such have a rich and mature data asset for you to get to grips with. You will also have the opportunity to work with R and the world of Big Data.

You will be applying a variety of statistical techniques to large volumes of customer data in order to identify the undeniable truth of a situation. The types of business problems the insight you provide answers too include:
- What is causing customer churn?
- What are our best performing channels and why?
- What can we do to increase acquisition across 'x' product / service?

You will be joining a team of 10 and working in support of a Senior Insight Analyst who will lead the senior stakeholder engagement. However your role will also be business facing, engaging with marketing and commercial teams to understand their needs for data and insight, and presenting back findings for them to take action upon.

Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with stakeholders with the view to continuously increase the value and use of data within the organisation and to drive decision making.
- Utilise various data sources, extracting and analysing relevant data behind the scenes.
- Translate data and pull out the key meanings, creating actionable insight delivered through compelling stories and sound recommendations.

Location: London
Salary: £38,000 to £45,000

Requirements:
- Highly proficient in SQL
- Experience in analysing large multi-million customer databases, ideally in a large blue chip organisation
- Experience of working with a marketing team on customer analysis, campaign analytics or business analytics projects
- Experience in developing statistical propensity
- Exposure to web analytics (Omniture, Google analytics etc.), or analysing web data will be a benefit, but not an absolute necessity
- Exposure to R, Oracle data miner and Hadoop would again be a benefit
