This is a really nice opportunity to join a leading Cardiff-based organisation with an enormous web presence and some really interesting things going on from a digital perspective. They’re looking to bring on 2 talented web content specialists to join their digital communications team and play a leading role in their ongoing digital transformation and web improvement programmes.

What you’ll be doing

The two roles each have a slightly different focus. The 24m contract will see you having ownership of one particular section of their website where you will be responsible for ensuring all content in that area adheres to web content and usability best practice, adds to a coherent user experience and is properly optimised for web. This will see you flexing your editorial skills – from feature writing, through to editing copy for web, turning reasonably complex technical copy in to an engaging read and applying web content principles throughout. You’ll also be doing lots of stakeholder management as the organisation has a complex structure and there are various parts who’ll be vying to get content up on the site. Part of your role will also be educating the broader business on how to best leverage web content.

The 9m contract will be similar to the above, but across a number of different parts of the site. So as well as all of the above, you’ll have project management play a much larger part of your role.

What experience you’ll need

You’ll be a seasoned digital and web content specialist, with experience of working within complex organisations on this sort of web transformation and improvement programme. You’ll be a strong writer, but will also have a good eye for visual content and general page layout. You’ll have strong project management skills, exceptional stakeholder management skills and a strong background in usability concepts and user experience.

What you’ll get in return for your talents

You’ll be on a fixed-term PAYE contract, so as well as a salary between £31k and £38k, you’ll also enjoy the same host of benefits afforded to the perm employees. There’s also a huge amount going on from a digital perspective here, so there’s a high chance of being engaged beyond the initial contract.

What’s next?

This role will have a fixed closing date in the next few weeks, so please get in touch with Gabby with a CV today to run through the details.
