PURPOSE

To support the head of marketing in ensuring the marketing department delivers an excellent level of service to the business.

To help design, drive and deliver a broad range of effective multi-level marketing initiatives.

To be responsible for some of the day to day activity associated with the department. Ensuring that deadlines are met for both internal and external stakeholders

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the head of marketing to implement the marketing plan as agreed by the board
  • Ensure all marketing guidelines are correct
  • Ensure that projects/activities are delivered within budget and to agreed timescales while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Liaise with relevant departments during planning, implementation and analysis of all marketing activity
  • Consistently generate business value and develop a rigorous approach to the measurement of campaign/initiatives effectiveness, closely managing budgets and marketing spend and adjusting in line with the needs of the business
  • Maintain and develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage the relationship with external agencies,
  • Assist in the production of marketing materials, including brochures, advertisements, e-shots, case studies, website content, social media activity and other correspondence
  • Ensure that all business partners, g., Appointed Representatives, marketing material adheres to the companies marketing policy
  • Produce and use relevant management information on a regular basis to monitor the effectiveness of marketing activities and use this knowledge to make recommendations to senior management for changes to existing activities or the development of new ones that will have a positive impact upon FTI's financial performance
  • Identify new opportunities that will help deliver business objectives and recommend new campaigns and developments to increase sales and profit
  • Using Microsoft Office suite support the preparation of Tender and Proposals documentation, through effective use of IT skills to create presentations, flow diagrams and spreadsheets, etc.
  • Collate and prepare monthly/ad hoc management information ensuring the timely collation of all data from various individuals
  • Maintain and develop appropriate areas of the website as well as social media platforms to continually improve customer experience
  • Lead marketing activities across FT Group as and when required to do so
  • Remain compliant in all activities undertaken in relation to relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with any ad-hoc work or projects as requested by your manager
  • Occasional travel to external suppliers and to events within the UK and possibly Europe



Personal Qualities

  • Marketing degree and/or professional marketing qualification
  • Minimum of 1 years marketing experience (will consider work placement) ideally in a regulated environment
  • Creative and innovative
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Excellent copy writing and proof reading skills
  • Ability to organise own time and prioritise workload to tight deadlines whilst still maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Willingly provides help and support for others
  • Competent in using Microsoft office suite particularly Powerpoint and Excel
  • Understanding of new technologies and how they can be applied to marketing
  • Remains positive despite difficulty, disappointment and when under pressure
  • Builds rapport with colleagues, contributing to the effectiveness of the team and is a co-operative team member
  • Is open to change and demonstrates flexibility
  • Demonstrates a 'can do' attitude
  • Is aware of personal development needs and raises issues with manager to help improve effectiveness. Takes on board comments about development needs and is always willing to learn
